Cayo Levantado
A small island with white beaches about 5 km from Samaná, according to the official tourism site. Water taxis leave Samaná port on Avenida Marina every day, and many whale-watching trips stop there.
Playa Rincón and Playa Frontón
Playa Rincón offers about 5 km of undeveloped white sand, 15 minutes by car from Las Galeras or a short boat ride away. Playa Frontón is reached by boat from Las Galeras or along a trail of about 5 km; its sand stretches below a 90 m cliff.
